Strong Writer

Being a strong writer is essential for every student. No matter what grade your child is in, they are expected to proficiently deliver a well developed and grammatically correct sentence, paragraph, or essay. To become a good writer, each student must develop critical thinking skills and understand how to successfully portray their thoughts in their writing. Most students struggle with forming judgements, using information provided to develop an argument, and executing a well written essay.
Summer is the perfect time to strengthen and improve a students writing skills. At Jill Abrams Tutoring, we provide step by step instruction on how to become a better writer. We work with the individual child and help them develop the skills they need to succeed.
Each student will learn the following skills:
*Form a grammatically correct sentence, paragraph, and or essay with proper punctuation.
*Enhance critical thinking.
*How to form a judgement.
*Differentiate between informational, opinion, and persuasive prompts.
*Evaluating information and learn how to utilize this information.
*Present an argument.
