Does your child struggle with reading comprehension? Understanding context clues is a crucial part of reading comprehension and learning how to use these clues is what we provide at Jill Abram’s Tutoring. Context clues are clues readers will use in order to find the meaning of an unknown word within a passage, story or text. If the student does not know a word, there are multiple strategies we provide in order to help the student understand. Instructing the students on different types of context clues such as, a definition clue, example clue, inference clue, synonym clue or antonym clue are some of the methods that will benefit your child. At Jill Abrams we thoroughly explain these different techniques and show examples to make sure the students know how to apply them in their daily reading.
